Father Foken Scholarship Fund St. Joseph Catholic Church provides partial tuition assistance through the Father Foken Scholarship Fund to parishioners who desire a Catholic education for their children but are unable to pay the full cost of tuition. The Scholarship fund is not intended to provide full tuition costs but instead to supplement the amount a family in need feels it can pay toward the cost of tuition. This Scholarship Fund does not include registration and other fees payable at enrollment, nor does it contribute toward the cost of tuition for a preschool child. All families seeking financial assistance must apply annually. The Scholarship Application should be completed and mailed to the school office by May 1st of each year. Applications received after May 1st will not be considered by the Scholarship Committee, which will meet in early May.
In addition, the Saint Francis of Assisi Trust, funded through interest earned on a $5 million endowment pledged through the 1999 Diocesan Fund for the Future campaign, was formed to help parents who could not otherwise send their children to a Catholic school. Approximately $700,000 has been paid out since the Trust’s inception, with over $205,000 awarded for the 2004-2005 school year alone. To download the Student Aid Form from Private School Aid
